The best breakfast has a good balance of complex carbs, lean protein, and healthy fats, pretty much like most meals, but other meals might not involve as many complex carbs as breakfast should. The best breakfast should also be easy - nobody has a lot of time in the morning to cook and prepare a balanced, delicious breakfast!
Here are three ideas:
OatPro3 (oatpro3.com) - full disclosure, I invented this product, but of course I stand behind it. I truly believe it is the world’s best breakfast. We use it every day at MoyerMeals to make overnight breakfast bowls and different flavored muffins. The breakfast bowls are amazing because they are so convenient. A half cup of OatPro3 combined with some raisins, walnuts, and almond milk, and you have a perfectly balanced breakfast of 400 calories with over 10g of fiber and 17g of protein. And it’s not bland like regular oatmeal. I urge you to give it a try.
Hard-boiled eggs and an apple - boil the eggs ahead of time and this is a simple breakfast that gives you everything you need. Eat one yolk for every 2-3 whites is a piece of general advice that I think is solid. Add a tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter to the apple for some added protein and healthy fat.
Leftovers - I often eat salmon for breakfast if I have an extra MoyerMeal in the fridge. Some people may think this is weird, but I also like pancakes for dinner sometimes. I don’t believe in “breakfast foods” - I just try to give my body the nutrition it needs, and that is protein, carbs, and fat in the right amounts and vitamins and minerals in the right amounts.
